Why Our Approach Matters

  • We advocate for transparency and visibility between buyers and creators. At iLORM, we boldly challenge the status quo by unveiling the truth behind the glamorous facade often seen in luxury retail, which can hide the harsh realities of poor working conditions for artisans.

We urge our customers to understand the direct impact of their purchases on the individuals behind the scenes. Your choice can save lives, combat child labor, and promote fair treatment for craftsmen worldwide. Together, let's empower change and ensure a more ethical and just industry for all.

  • We're proud to directly source our kente from local weavers in Agbozume, Kumasi, Madina, and Wa in Ghana, cutting out intermediaries. This not only streamlines our costs and boosts efficiency but, most crucially, maximizes profits for these talented weavers. Our handwoven fabrics are crafted in small, purposeful batches to eliminate overproduction and ensure zero waste.

Furthermore, we're committed to sustainability by repurposing excess fabrics from local jobbers and fabric mills. These rescued materials are transformed into functional, timeless pieces, reducing waste and giving them new life through iLORM's innovative designs.

  • Fashion transcends mere aesthetics—it's art with a purpose. Behind every garment and accessory lies the skillful hands of our talented artisans, often unseen and underappreciated in an industry plagued by exploitation.

At iLORM, we refuse to perpetuate this cycle. Our artisans aren't just faces in the background; they are the heartbeat of our creations, each with a stake and a voice. We cultivate a professional, nurturing environment that fosters creativity, transparency, and diversity, elevating the discourse around garment making and empowering those who craft our stories
